
Having studiously assured Ewan that nothing extra-terrestial was going on over the weekend (see below post), a great big freaking meteor streaked across the skies above Wellington last night. I would love to say I watched with "Day of the Triffids" like concern, but the truth is we were rather mundanely having dinner; jolly good Tacos actually. But then social media and the news magazines started yelping "What's going on in Wellington?" and we began to take heed. Initially folks thought it was just a jet's contrail, but then the fiery image was seen shooting down the west coast of the South Island. By today they were saying it was most likely a meteor. So perhaps it is time to rethink those Sun Dogs.
